Tik Tik along with 58 other Chinese apps banned in India

Beijing is “emphatically worried” about New Delhi’s step to ban 59 Chinese, mobile applications, Likee, TikTok, UC Browser and WeChat, and others.

Chinese media blamed India for the border tension and said that the ban on apps is part of the wave of “ultra-nationalism”. on participation between the two nations and underlined that the ban would conflict with “India’s interests”.

The information technology ministry did not underline the Chinese links of the 59 mobile apps but government officials didn’t leave anyone in doubt. The ban was fast-tracked by Home Minister Amit Shah after the June 15 violent confrontation between soldiers of India and China at eastern Ladakh’s Galwan valley that spiralled tensions between the two neighbours.

The official announcement only said the 59 applications were prejudicial to sovereignty and integrity of India, defence of India, security of state and public order. “This move will safeguard the interests of crores of Indian mobile and internet users,” the Indian IT ministry statement on Monday evening said.

The civilization gate has been built in Patna on the lines of India Gate of New Delhi and Gateway of India in Mumbai. Civilization gates have been constructed in the Ganga banks along the Gyan Bhawan and Bapu Auditorium, one of the marvelous buildings in the country near Gandhi Maidan. The voice of four great men is written at the door of civilization. On one side is given the place of Mahatma Buddha and Emperor Ashoka and on the other side the voice of Mahavira and Megasthenes. The landmark civilization of Patna is reminiscent of great men who brought glory to Bihar.

The Sabhyata Dwar or Civilization Gate is a sandstone arch monument located on the banks on River Ganga in the city of Patna in the Indian state of Bihar. The Sabhyata Dwar is built with a Mauryan-style architecture with a purpose to show the ancient glory of Pataliputra and traditions and culture of the state of Bihar. The monument was first envisioned by the former Lieutenant General Srinivas Kumar Sinha. The 32 metres (105 ft) high structure is taller than Gateway of India by 6 metres (20 ft) and was built at a cost of ₹ 5 crore (50 million). The monument is spread over an area of one acre within the campus of Samrat Ashok International Convention Centre. The arches of the Dwar contain inscriptions attributed to Megasthenes, Ashoka, Buddha and Mahavira. Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar inaugurated the monument on 21 May 2018.

Construction of the monument was done by the building and construction department of the Bihar government.[3] On 21 May 2018, Sabhyata Dwar was inaugurated by the Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar.[4] The cost of construction of the project is ₹ 5 crore (50 million)

The Dwar faces Ganga on its northern side. It consists of two arches built with Mauryan architecture with a smaller arch on either side. The structure is constructed from red and white sandstones.
